What You’ll Learn
- Why Human Brains May Be De-evolving
- The Difference Between Synchronous and Asynchronous Radiation
- The Effect of 5G On the Brain
As with every new technology, 5G was introduced into our lives without our approval or much research to prove its compatibility with human health. But whether you’re for it or against it, 5G is here and it is inescapable, literally blanketing the earth and penetrating every person on it. So why is 5G so different from previous generations and what does this new update in cellular technology mean for our long-term health?
What’s Different About 5G?
This latest iteration of wireless technology (fifth generation) isn’t just a new frequency, it requires a host of new infrastructures such as compatible devices, satellites, as well as a shift from microwaves to millimeter waves. The main difference between 4G and 5G is this change in frequency spectrum and wavelength.
While microwaves occupy the frequency spectrum between 1 GHz and 30 GHz, millimeter waves are found between 30 GHz and 300 GHz. Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, and 4G mainly rely on a frequency below 6GHz; 5G will use frequencies up to 120 GHz. The radiofrequency waves we currently use can measure tens of centimeters compared to millimeter waves, which are no longer than ten millimeters.
Up until now, we have always used larger microwaves for our electronic devices and appliances, including cellular networks. But as this spectrum has become congested with more devices, the higher-frequency and smaller millimeter waves of 5G allow more space and speed for the growing number of users.
What Makes 5G Controversial?
According to a point made by Scientific American, “short-term exposure [to millimeters waves] can have adverse physiological effects in the peripheral nervous system, the immune system, and the cardiovascular system. The research suggests that long-term exposure may pose a health risk to the skin (e.g., melanoma), the eyes (e.g., ocular melanoma), and the testes (e.g., sterility.)”
Even more concerning is that over 180 scientists and doctors from nearly 40 countries have similarly warned about the many health risks of 5G. But why hasn’t anyone looked at this data or fully researched the effects before implementing this new technology?
Just How Dangerous is 5G?
In our roundtable with pediatrician Dr. Larry Palevsky, we asked him to rank the dangers of 5G on a scale of 1–10 and explain his reasoning as to why it comes in at a whopping 15! Additionally, he delves into the different parts of the human brain and explains how each particular region is responsible for our different emotions, thought processes, and ways of thinking.
It is through this understanding that Dr. Palevsky has drawn conclusions as to why the latest advances in technology, such as 5G, stem from the desire, fear-based, reactive part of the brain and not the more evolved, rational frontal lobe.
Dr. Lawrence Palevsky is an NYS licensed pediatrician who utilizes a holistic approach to children’s wellness and illness. He received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine in 1987, and received his pediatric board certification in 1990, and passed his pediatric board recertification exams in 1997, 2004, and 2011.
In his current pediatric practice, Dr. Palevsky offers well-child examinations, consultations, and educational programs to families and practitioners in the areas of preventive and holistic health, childhood development, lifestyle changes and safe and alternative treatments for difficult-to-treat conditions.
Additionally, Dr. Palevsky teaches holistic integrative pediatric & adolescent medicine to parents and medical and allied health professionals both nationally and internationally.
