Is Your Chronic Illness An Inability to Remove Waste?

Chronic Illness Remove Waste

The Chronic Illness Epidemic

Chronic illness rates have reached staggering levels in the US. But what’s even more staggering is the degree to which these conditions are affecting children. As of 2020, over 20% of children in the US have been diagnosed with a chronic illness, ranging from asthma, eczema, and allergies to ADHD, IBS, and autism.

A lot of our chronically ill patients wonder about the exact root cause of their–or their child’s illness. According to pediatrician Dr. Larry Palevsky, it’s all a matter of toxin overload.

How Your Body Detoxifies, Naturally

Now, we’ve written a lot about detoxification methods, including the 8 Affordable Ways to Detox NaturallyThe Tell-Tale Signs Your Body is in Need of a Detox, and Your One-Stop Exclusive Guide to Detoxification. But whether we realize it or not, our bodies are detoxifying all of the time.

As Dr. Palevsky explains, there at several mechanisms at play that remove waste from our bodies. These include exhalation, urination, bowel movements, sweating, sleeping, exercising, screaming, and even crying. And all of these we do more or less unconsciously, or at least without giving them much thought.

But when we are inundated with toxins from the air, our food or water, our skin, or from injections, these mechanisms become overburdened.

The Root Cause of Chronic Illness

Much like exposure to smoke makes us cough; exposure to more smoke makes us cough more. Similarly, when our systems are overwhelmed or we have a particular sensitivity to a toxin such as mold, we become inflamed and start expressing symptoms of chronic illness. This can manifest as asthma, eczema, diarrhea, irritability, insomnia, restlessness, or food sensitivities, to name a few.

In our conversation with Dr. Palevsky, he explains why it is his job as a physician to identify all of the root causes of a chronic illness. By isolating all of the possible offending pathogens that are coming into the body and eliminating them, he can support the detoxification pathways and make room for the patient’s body to remove waste effectively and begin to heal on its own.

Each child and each adult will have a body part that is his or her constitutional weakness…So for some kids, it’s the lungs so it’ll be asthma or coughs, or chronic dripping of mucous.”
