Weber LED Infrared Helmet: How to Heal Your Brain At Home
As of 2020, nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. have been diagnosed with depression, and approximately 1 in 11 will experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at some point in their lives. Additionally, cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative diseases are on the rise globally. Traditional medicine typically focuses on managing symptoms rather than addressing the root causes of these mental and neurological conditions.
The Weber LED Infrared Helmet is an innovative at-home infrared light therapy device created to heal, restore, and support brain function for a broad spectrum of users.
Shining a Light on Infrared Light Therapy
The benefits of light therapy have been recognized for some time, but the use of infrared light to stimulate and regenerate brain function at the cellular level—a process known as transcranial photobiomodulation—is emerging as a promising alternative or supplement to treating and healing the brain. This technique utilizes low-level infrared light, which can penetrate up to five centimeters beyond the skull and reach three centimeters into brain tissue. Infrared light therapy is a powerful, safe tool that supports cellular repair and regeneration, enhances detoxification, and improves circulation and lymphatic flow.
Improving brain cell function results in the following:
- Increased cellular energy
- Enhanced cellular communication
- More efficient cellular waste removal
- Decreased oxidative stress
- Less inflammation
- Improved oxygen availability
By bringing this brain-targeted infrared light therapy into the home, Weber Medical has empowered individuals to take control of their healing journey. Before the development of the Weber LED Infrared Helmet, this advanced therapy was only available at select clinics, with NYCIM being one of the few offering it.

How Does the Weber LED Infrared Helmet Work?
Weber Medical recognized that individuals with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injuries, autism spectrum disorder, or depression require regular transcranial photobiomodulation therapy. However, frequent visits to a clinic can be both costly and time-consuming. Robert Weber, Managing Director of Weber Medical, explains, “Our idea was to develop something for home use, allowing patients to treat these brain conditions daily while also reducing stress levels and promoting brain regeneration.”
The helmet resembles a bicycle helmet but is equipped with 320 non-thermal light-emitting diodes (LEDs) inside. It can be customized with easy-to-adjust time and hertz settings to suit specific needs. Different frequencies are optimal for treating certain conditions—for instance, 10 hertz for stroke and depression and 40 hertz for Alzheimer’s and dementia. The helmet includes a guide that explains the various hertz levels and their connection to different brain waves (e.g., alpha, beta, theta, etc.), making it easy to set and use at home.
For best results, wearing the helmet in a calm and mindful state is recommended, such as while meditating, reading, or resting. The helmet is safe for daily use, and numerous patient responses have validated its effectiveness.

The Weber Helmet is used at the clinic for patients to enhance cognitive function and treat brain-related illnesses such as anxiety and depression. It uses low-level laser therapy that emits infrared light to increase energy in the brain, protect neurons, decrease inflammation, and improve oxygenation in the brain to increase healing capacity. With repetitive use, patients report feeling calmer with enhanced mental clarity.

Patient Responses to Using the Weber LED Infrared Helmet
Patients using the Weber LED Infrared Helmet have reported remarkable improvements, including reduced symptoms of depression, decreased anxiety, enhanced mental clarity, improved sleep, and overall better well-being. A compelling testament to the helmet’s effectiveness comes from a veteran organization in Florida that integrates the helmets into their program for veterans returning from war with severe depression, PTSD, suicidal tendencies, and traumatic brain injuries. They have described the helmets as a ‘game-changer,’ noting that they haven’t lost a single veteran in recent years. They emphasized that for many, the helmet has been ‘truly life-saving,’ with depression subsiding within just a few weeks.
Jennifer Miele, founder and director of Nube Health Inc. and the Baja Medgate clinic in Tijuana, Mexico, has extensive experience with the Weber Helmet and has witnessed its extraordinary effectiveness firsthand. Her work spans treating conditions ranging from neurological Lyme disease to glioblastomas. Miele highlights the powerful impact of infrared light therapy, citing that when glioblastoma patients wear the helmet twice daily at tailored frequencies, in combination with specific oral supplements and other immune therapies, MRIs and brain scans have shown an astounding 50% to 80% reduction in tumor size within just one to two months. Notably, no negative side effects have been reported.
